  • 150ml milk
  • 400ml double cream
  • 60g caster sugar
  • 1 vanilla pod, cut up lengthways
  • recent strawberries, to serve
  • strawberry compote, to serve

Methodology

  • STEP 1

    Add the sheets of gelatine to a bowl of chilly water and soak for five minutes.

  • STEP 2

    Pour the milk and cream right into a saucepan with the sugar and vanilla seeds (to scrape the seeds out of the pod, use the again of a knife).
